The journey always starts with the first step and that can sometimes feel like the hardest. But you are here already, so be brave and make the call!

To schedule an appointment, call us at (913) 444-9099, or send an email to info@sozotherapygroup.com. We will ask a few questions to identify the best clinician for you and help you get started.

At your first few session(s), you and your therapist will have an opportunity to meet each other to establish if it is a good fit. You may be asked some questions about your background and goals for therapy. We will give you the time to learn about the therapy process, as well as discuss a plan for your personal treatment.

Yes, it’s work, and it’s hard sometimes. But you won’t do it alone. We will provide focused, evidenced-based treatment approaches and techniques to move you toward your goals and that you can put to use right away.

As you walk through therapy, be courageous outside of therapy. Practice the skills you learn in therapy on your own when life’s challenges come your way.

We do not believe that therapy is supposed to last forever. Clients should expect to see healing and change in their lives when doing this work. Counseling is a season of support, so when you feel strong enough on your own, ongoing therapy will end.

FAQS

The length of treatment depends on the presenting issue and your goals. Brief therapy might be as short as six to eight sessions while longer term therapy might last several years. We will collaborate to determine the length of treatment that is both clinically appropriate and best meets your needs.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. At times, your therapist may recommend a longer session (90-120 minutes) depending on the number of people in the session and the goal for that session.

Yes. Telehealth is a private, online session for clients to receive therapy if you are unable to drive to our office. Our procedures follow all HIPPA requirements for safety and privacy.

We have a tiered price range based on licensure level and specialty training of the clinician. Prices range from $120-$200/session.

We will offer you referrals to other clinicians with the specialty expertise that you need.

SOZO Therapy group is open from 8am – 8pm. Each clinician has a specific schedule they follow, so open hours may not coordinate with your therapist’s availability.

We have several options of payment. Some of our therapist accept KS Medicaid (Sunflower Health and United Community Health Plan) as payment and others accept cash or credit card payments. When you call in, we can let you know what options will best fit your situation.

We are currently affiliated with Kansas Medicaid.  We accept both Sunflower Health Plan and United Community Health Plan. Clients with other insurance would be covered out of network. What this means is that you are responsible for the full fee upfront for each session. Your insurance provider may provide “out-of-network” benefits based on your plan. We can provide you with an invoice (known as a “superbill”) which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursements. Depending on your plan, you may get a percentage of what you already paid back to you, which can help offset the out-of-pocket cost of therapy. To find out more about your network’s coverage, please call your insurance carrier to ask if your benefits plan includes coverage or reimbursement for out-of-network mental health providers.

Yes; an HSA functions the same as a credit card payment.

Yes, we work hard to hire clinicians of various race and ethnicities to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. If we do not have the therapist you are looking for, we will work hard to provide you with a referral to someone who is a better fit for you.
